since i'm in need of posts, i thought i'd also mention something funny i didn't say before. some music apprec guy was having himself a little party while enduring that tortuous agony inflicted by the university called "recital attendance." he downed two bottles of the king of cheap alcohol before my very eyes, in turner auditorium, muttering quietly his intentions on 5 or 6 more bottles the moment he got back to his dorm room. he found out i was a musician and he's all like, "dude, you play bach and all that stuff? dude..." yeeeaaah...........
Holy Cow
do i even remember how to do this? apparently someone has been seriously slacking on their blogging responsibilites. :-P actually i'm rather pleased to note that i'm not so attached to it that i can't handle a break. but whatever.
!!!ALERT, ALERT!!! today is melanie's birthday!!! HAPPY B-DAY MEL!!!
there's not much need (and i have no desire) to go over all the details which have transpired since my last post. the family is almost moved into their new location in swift. we had a wonderful thanksgiving. evan got his cast taken off. i'm almost done with another semester of school. papa now has a job working for armstrong flooring. got a new cell phone. any of you reading this who want the number can just email me if i haven't already given it to you. but like i said, i'm not going to go over old stuff...
so TODAY! what did happen today? i went to my usual classes. this evening i went to a strings concert, which i refuse to critique (i'm all too sympathetic to the plight of struggling string players). then i rushed out before it was even over so i could go see a showing of the magic flute performed by the salzburg marionettes. it was fabulous. i have never seen such a talented troop of puppets in my life. :-P
anyway, that's all i got for now. stay tuned for more regular updates in the future!

Blessed
i had an awesome day today. people, i am doing really well! i mean, not in music lit, but in general. i'm doing, just good, i don't know how to say it. yesterday i was having such a bad day, and then i had an absolutely incredible quiet time to cap it off, and make it a wonderful day instead. i'm caught up on school too, and i'm totally not panicking about history tomorrow. is it not the coolest thing in the world to have reading done early and know you can just look over your notes, chill, and go to bed early with a test the next morning? i vow never to return to my old ways.
went bowling today with thomas. it was fun hanging out and visiting. i didn't do so hot in my performance though. i think thomas got a 160 or so one time. woohoo!
we're moving this weekend! going to be crazy hectic. definitely looking forward to a hardworking weekend, to be finished off with an organ recital by dr mann (which i highly recomment. it will be at first united methodist church, on hospital street, at 2:30 sunday afternoon. be there... or be an organ pipe), and a bacherinni concert at 6. good stuff people. i think dr mann's thing is free. it's his going away recital, btw, or retirement or whatever. this is his last big deal folks. maybe. please come, it's gonna be awesome.

someone totally just tried to squish me on the crosswalk with their truck. they took their foot off the brake as i was crossing the line in the middle of the road, and hit the gas while i was smack between their headlights! i had to kick it into high gear. bleh. maybe i should just let them next time. no, i'm kidding. i think...
